Oshawa's O'Neill Collegiate is home to a widely celebrated secondary school art program that has graduated many who have gone on to become remarkable artists in their own right. The 21 Bond St. E. venue may not have looked like much from the outside but was home to an incredibly eclectic selection of quality work by a diverse group of artists.
The O'Neill Alumni group refer to themselves as the Room One-Eighteen Group named after the Senior Art classroom studio. They have a history dating back to 1985 when Craig Wildman started teaching at O'Neill and some of these students took part in the original Durham Artfest (1992-95) sitting the many spaces.
